The leads of both CLIMAR and its sister network, F1AMR, have co-written an article for Open Access Govenment’s April 2026 edition.

In Addressing the Silent Pandemic: the interplay between Climate Change and AMR, the two UKRI-funded Tackling Infections networks summarise their specific missions, stress their link to the UK Government’s National Action Plan (NAP) for antimicrobial resistance, and touch on policy recommendations, including the placement of more emphasis on climate change in the next iteration of the NAP.

The editorial also establishes the connections between these two networks, that both place the role of the environment at the centre of an integrated view of AMR evolution and transmission.
