Part of the CLIMAR network’s vision is to generate impactful change and drive social momentum towards understanding the urgent bidirectional relationship between climate change and AMR. The CLIMAR network has contracted social impact consultancy Skating Panda to help build a Theory of Change Framework.

Featuring interviews and workshops, the Theory of Change Framework aims to provide clarity on what are the most important changes made though a social or environmental programme, encouraging an organisation to reflect on the unique change that only it can make.

For CLIMAR, this will be essential to connect with network members, and establish clarity on the desired outcomes and impact. The subcontract partnership should help CLIMAR ensure real impact and deliver results from its network activities.

Skating Panda works across systemic problems in health, gender and climate to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with specialism working in the field of AMR with clients including the Wellcome Trust and Dame Sally Davies, previously the UK’s Chief Medical Officer.

Professor Will Gaze, lead of the CLIMAR Network, says “AMR is a complex problem, requiring communication with different sectors. Skating Panda’s experience will be invaluable in refining the way we think and talk about AMR, informing the way we communicate with different audiences and increasing the impact of network outputs.”

Andrea Hartley, CEO of Skating Panda, says “There is no shortage of research, discussion and convening on AMR. Our work with CLIMAR will provide focus on the unique change the network can make, providing a clear framework for decision-making and shaping a compelling narrative for cross-sectoral change.”
